Couples Therapy

– a process that strengthens the relationship with your partner!

Sometimes the relationship with our partner gets tense or stuck. The communication gets unhealthy or even dysfunctional and a third party is needed to help understand the dynamics between the two of you.

Together we look at your patterns and strategies in the relationship, and we aim improve communication and build trust between you.

All conversations are confidential.

A session is normally 1 hour and 15 min. to ensure we have time hear both of you. Extended session may also be an option.

We meet at my office in center of  Copenhagen at Kronprinsensgade 13, 5th floor. A side street to Købmagergade.

Late afternoon  and evening hours on Wednesdays are available.

I also do individual psychotherapy if needed.

Intensive Dynamic Short-Term Therapy (ISTDP) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) are both validated methods within psychotherapy and help us navigate emotionally.

With my master degree in The Psychology of Organizations and Core + advanced training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) as well as  further education in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) I have a strong foundation within psychotherapy.

Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) is a unique form of psychodynamic treatment that facilitates the rapid resolution of a broad spectrum of emotional difficulties. It is an evidence-based psychotherapy that is strongly supported by current clinical research studies. ISTDP interventions are specifically designed to resolve anxiety, depression, somatization and personality disorders, as well as alleviate a variety of self-defeating behaviors, many of which derive from unstable or troubled early life attachments.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a well-known humanistic approach to psychotherapy formulated in the 1980’s and developed in tandem with the science of adult attachment, a profound developmental theory of personality and intimate relationships. This science has expanded our understanding of individual dysfunction and health as well as the nature of love relationships and family bonds. Attachment views human beings as innately relational, social and wired for intimate bonding with others. The EFT model prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions.
